Cuts easily, and plucks relatively easily. My only gripes: outer layers should be thicker, which would allow for cleaner cuts and better durability, and the layers could stand to be more easily plucked/separated. But overall, if you use good blades and straight edges you can DIY some pretty solid custom foam inserts for tools and equipment.
We have a couple sets of these in our shop toolboxes. It makes it so easy to spot when a tool is missing AND keeps the toolbox organized forever! No more pissing around looking for things. Our shop crew raves about these inserts!
